I have deployed this on visual studio 2010. I managed to create an admin profile. I am able to run the project and add stuff. however for the events whenever I click on an event I have added it breaks the code and sends me to view.aspx to the end of the line of

Problem Solved!!

For anyone else with this issue:
This article from Rick Strahl's Web Log helped.
After using the info from Rick's article, the problem was found to be an incorrect database connection string.

Great Kit here, I am aware it's not active but I am still new to this style of MVC project. I will still be trying to find out more about how it works.

Hi Everyone,

I have got this project working and running on my local machine, but when I publish it to hosting I get a strange output of symbols and random text.

I think it maybe because the project runs but no index file is within the root of the ClubStarterKit.Web, also the database has not been created yet, but was expected to see an ASP.NET error, is there a workaround to effectively create an Default Index within root ?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Apologies for digging up this ancient post, but I had the same problem as you and managed to fix it by following your advice of adding the System.Linq and the final error on:

Global.asax in <ClubStarterKit.Domain.User>().First(u => u.Username == "akbar]"); where it errors Sequence contains no elements

Problem seems to be with the username containing " ] ". It now works and the database table "dbo.UserInRole" is updated accordingly.

I tested this and the admin user is able to add events and posts, great! :)

In the home page of clubstarterkit v3 preview we can see 5 records but what if we want to make it more or less.
I have gone through all these projects code: ClubStarterKit.Core , ClubStarterKit.Infrastructure, ClubStarterKit.Data.NHibernate, ClubStarterKit.Domain, ClubStarterKit.Tests, ClubStarterKit.Web and commented almost all the code but with no change.

Where queries code are located OR are the setting located in UI? I have tried all but no success?
